Week 10 Staff Picks

Staff Standings:

CJ Sweat: 44-10

Chris Mason: 37-17

Parker Hall: 36-18

JMU @ New Hampshire

With Towson losing to Delaware a week ago, JMU now has an opportunity to win the CAA. While New Hampshire enters this game 2-6 and has no shot at a post-season, this is a talented team that had high expectations at the beginning of the year.

CJ Sweat: JMU 30 New Hampshire 7

Chris Mason: JMU 47 New Hampshire 28

Parker Hall: JMU 42 New Hampshire 30

Norfolk State @ NC A&T

The Spartans offensive woes continue as they have scored a total of 9 points in the past three games. They've gone from having a real chance to win the MEAC to MEAC bottom-dweller. NC A&T meanwhile is ranked 17th and is the favorite to win the conference.

CJ Sweat: NC A&T 27 Norfolk State 0

Chris Mason: NC A&T 18 Norfolk State 17

Parker Hall: Norfolk State 34 NC A&T 14

Villanova @ Richmond

The last time Richmond won less than 4 games in a season was 2011 under interim coach Wayne Lindeburg. He was not given the full time position. With an opportunity to get a key win against Elon, the Spiders were yet again outplayed. Nova got off to a 3-1 start which included a win against Temple. Both programs are in desperate need of a win.

CJ Sweat: Villanova 28 Richmond 20

Chris Mason: Villanova 31 Richmond 20

Parker Hall: Richmond 42 Villanova 30

Liberty @ UMass

Liberty has certainly surpassed their preseason expectations, some media outlets are even projecting the Flames to reach a bowl game. For that to happen though, they absolutely have to beat UMass. One stat that should excite Liberty fans is the Minutemen do not run the ball well...at all, and currently rank 116th in the nation in rushing offense.

CJ Sweat: Liberty 27 UMass 24

Chris Mason: UMass 42 Liberty 30

Parker Hall: UMass 48 Liberty 35

Boston College @ Virginia Tech

Justin Fuente's offense has completely stalled over the past 3 weeks. Despite Ryan Willis throwing for over 700 yards during this stretch, the Hokies have averaged just 24 points per game. If they want to get back in the win column, the offense has to improve this week.

CJ Sweat: Virginia Tech 31 Boston College 23

Chris Mason: Boston College 24 Virginia Tech 21

Parker Hall: Virginia Tech 35 Boston College 14
